Android - Manage Groups

Overview

After creating multiple groups, you might need to sort, organize, or modify them. The manage group options described below allow you to easily manage these changes.

1. Group Selection

When you navigate to the "Groups", you see a list of all the groups you have created.

Select All: The "Select All" button will appear as an option in the context menu in the top right corner. Tapping this button will select all groups in the list. It helps you manage all groups at once.

Deselect All: Deselect all groups, which also exits the Selection Mode.

Duplicate: Create duplicates of the selected groups. After choosing this option, you will immediately see the new groups in the list. This function helps you easily manage groups. For example, you don't have to create a new group and add the same contacts to it again; you can duplicate an existing group and edit the contacts if necessary or use the same contacts.

Delete: Delete the selected groups from the list (deleting groups or contacts does not affect personal contacts on your phone).

Additionally, you can delete selected groups using the trash can icon in the upper right corner, next to the context menu button.

Change Group Name: Tap this option to open a popup for entering a new group name. Enter the new name and tap Update to change the group name.

update_group_name
  • you can use it if the purpose of the group you want to rename has changed or if there are multiple groups with the same name.
  • It is also useful if you are sorting groups alphabetically. Unused groups can be renamed “z-group” to push them to the bottom of the list if you don’t want to delete them. You may also find that a group will be used for a different type of message and a new name would make better sense.

Set Image: After selecting this option, your phone's image gallery will open. Choose any desired image, which will automatically be displayed in the circle to the left of the group name in Reach. This function helps you better navigate groups and speed up your work by setting different pictures for them.

Export to CSV: Export your group and its contacts to a CSV file. Choose the desired location on your phone and tap Save. This option helps you easily transfer your data from one device to another or create the necessary file format for further editing on your computer for subsequent import.
